Senior Leader – Finance Transformation (Planning, Reporting & Analytics)

Location: Flexible within Europe (Hybrid/Remote options)

What is the role and opportunity?

We’re hiring a Senior Manager for a large top tier consulting firm to help their global clients redesign how Finance partners the business. You’ll shape modern planning, reporting, analytics and performance capabilities—bringing data, technology and process together to drive better decisions, tighter control, and measurable value creation. It is focused on not only FP&A but wider Integrated Business Planning as well as Analytics.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, digital enablement and delivery. You’ll guide programmes that span budgeting and forecasting, integrated business planning, consolidation and performance management, data foundations, AI‑enabled use cases, and finance business partnering.

What will I be doing?

Executive engagement: Advise CFOs and senior leaders on priorities, shaping roadmaps that move Finance from reporting to insight and action.

Solution definition: Design options that combine process redesign with best‑fit technologies—grounded in business outcomes.

Programme delivery: Mobilise and run multi‑disciplinary teams to land change at scale with pace and quality.

People leadership: Build, coach and develop diverse teams; set the bar for delivery excellence.

Growth: Contribute to pursuits, propositions and thought leadership across the Planning, Reporting & Analytics domain.

Focus Areas (What You’ll Build)

1) Data → Insight Foundations

Standardised finance data models and definitions to enable connected, consistent reporting.

ERP and source‑to-report designs that put decision‑grade data at the core.

2) Integrated Business Planning

Cross‑functional planning that links operations, commercial, HR and Finance.

Driver‑based models and scenario planning that tie operational inputs to financial impact.

3) Modern FP&A

From manual cycles to streamlined, tech‑enabled planning and performance rhythms.

Target operating models that increase agility, influence and time‑to‑insight.

4) Analytics & Performance Management

Enterprise analytics operating models (process, technology, data, people).

Embedded KPI frameworks and insights to steer performance conversations.

5) AI in Finance

Education and use‑case design for automation, prediction and intelligent assistance.

Value cases that translate AI potential into tangible business outcomes.

6) Delivery Methods

Design thinking and digital process re‑engineering.

Lean approaches, automation toolsets and Agile delivery at scale.

What profile will I require?

8+ years delivering Finance transformation, performance improvement, or Planning/Reporting/Analytics programmes.

Proven success shaping and delivering large, complex, multi‑country initiatives .

Strong business development and solutioning experience; able to originate and lead major engagements.

Deep expertise in at least one sector, with credible C‑suite relationships.

Leadership track record—building high‑performing teams and raising delivery standards.

Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and facilitation skills.

Recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA).

Prior consulting experience or ownership of multiple Planning/Reporting/Analytics programmes in industry.

Advanced problem‑solving skills and a sharp eye for clear, visual deliverables.

Hands‑on exposure to relevant platforms, such as:
SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) , SAP BPC , S/4HANA

Oracle EPM Cloud/ Hyperion

Anaplan, Tagetik, Board

Microsoft Power BI
