Senior Audit & Accounts

We are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Audit & Accounts professional to join a well-established professional services firm. This is a varied role offering a balanced 50:50 split between statutory accounts and audit work throughout the year, with exposure to a diverse client portfolio.

The Role

You will take a senior-level role in delivering audit and accounts assignments across multiple sectors, acting as a key point of contact for clients and supporting the development of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead statutory accounts and audit engagements across SME, group, charity, and financial services clients
  • Manage and supervise a portfolio of concurrent audit and accounts assignments, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with FRS 102 and FRS 105
  • Ensure compliance with Irish tax legislation, regulatory requirements, and statutory filing deadlines
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the audit and year-end process
  • Supervise, review, and support junior staff and trainees
  • Prepare corporation tax, income tax, and VAT computations
  • Assist with audit planning, risk assessment, and file completion
  • Maintain high standards of documentation and audit file quality

Systems & Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience using Bright Accounts Production, TaxPro, CTPro, and Sage Line 50
  • Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software including Xero, Big Red Cloud, Big Red Book, and QuickBooks

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in a practice environment at Senior or Assistant Manager level
  • Strong technical knowledge of Irish accounting and tax requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines effectively
  • Confident communicator with a collaborative and supportive working style
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and compliance
