Full job description
Medical Administrator – Busy GP Practice .
We are seeking a motivated and organised Medical Administrator to join our busy and friendly GP practice for 4/5 days a week. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative, Information Technology and customer service skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities .
- Greeting patients and managing reception duties.
- Scheduling appointments and handling telephone enquiries.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and correspondence.
- Processing referrals, prescriptions, and medical documentation.
- Liaising with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection requirements.
- Providing general administrative support to the practice team.
Requirements.
- Previous GP Practice administrative experience desirable but not essential. We will consider applications from candidates with experience in other healthcare settings along with applicants with 3 years plus experience working in a busy office environment. Full training will be provided.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in general computer systems and Interest in Information Technology.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach.
