Medical Administrator – Busy GP Practice .

We are seeking a motivated and organised Medical Administrator to join our busy and friendly GP practice for 4/5 days a week. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative, Information Technology and customer service skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities .

  • Greeting patients and managing reception duties.
  • Scheduling appointments and handling telephone enquiries.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and correspondence.
  • Processing referrals, prescriptions, and medical documentation.
  • Liaising with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection requirements.
  • Providing general administrative support to the practice team.

Requirements.

  • Previous GP Practice administrative experience desirable but not essential. We will consider applications from candidates with experience in other healthcare settings along with applicants with 3 years plus experience working in a busy office environment. Full training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in general computer systems and Interest in Information Technology.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach.
