Part-Time Personal / Executive Assistant

Hybrid | Waterford | 20 hours per week
Monday to Friday, approx. 9am–1pm

We are looking for a reliable, organised Personal / Executive Assistant to help with day-to-day business and personal admin.

This role is for someone practical, dependable, and comfortable taking responsibility. You must be able to work independently, follow things through, and keep on top of tasks without needing constant reminders.

This is not an entry-level role and will not suit someone with no office, PA, admin, or assistant experience.

This role will only suit you if you are comfortable with all three of the following:

1. Phone calls and follow-up
You must be happy making phone calls, taking calls, chasing people, and sometimes having polite but firm conversations. If you avoid phone calls or difficult conversations, please do not apply.

2. Technology
You must be confident using computers and online systems. The role will involve Outlook, Microsoft Office, OneDrive, SharePoint, email, calendars, online banking, and other online tools. You do not need to be an IT expert, but you do need to be tech-savvy and quick to learn.

3. Personal assistant tasks
This is a mix of business support and personal assistant work. Some tasks may include personal errands, appointments, bookings, organising practical matters, and helping with day-to-day personal admin. If you are only looking for a formal office admin role, this is not the right fit.

Main duties

The role will include:

  • Managing a busy email inbox
  • Sorting, replying to, and prioritising emails
  • Managing diaries, appointments, and schedules
  • Making and receiving phone calls
  • Following up with people to make sure tasks are completed
  • Helping with business admin and coordination
  • Helping with personal admin, errands, and organisation
  • Keeping track of several ongoing tasks at once

What we are looking for

You should be:

  • Experienced in a PA, EA, office admin, secretary, or similar support role
  • Organised and reliable
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Good at following things through
  • Clear and professional in emails and phone calls
  • Calm when priorities change
  • Discreet, trustworthy, and practical
  • Confident with technology and online systems
