Hartley People Recruitment on behalf of our client in Waterford are seeking a skilled Nesting Engineer to optimise material usage and production efficiency by creating and managing CNC nesting programs. This is a full-time permanent position and a fantastic opportunity to join a growing Team

Key Responsibilities

• Create and optimise nesting layouts for CNC machines
• Generate CNC programs using nesting software
• Maximise material yield and minimise waste
• Interpret CAD drawings and production specs
• Work with production and engineering teams to improve efficiency
• Troubleshoot nesting and machine issues

Requirements

• Engineering or related qualification
• Experience in CNC programming/nesting
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM and nesting software preferred (e.g. SigmaNEST, RADAN)
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Desirable

• Experience in manufacturing/fabrication
• Knowledge of lean principles and ERP systems
