Hartley People Recruitment in partnership with our client are hiring for a part-time Accounts Administrator in Waterford City.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing business operating nationwide. The client manages a high volume of financial transactions in a fast-paced operational environment, and this position will play a key role in supporting continued growth.

This is part-time (20-25 hours), permanent, on-site role based in Waterford City.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Raising and managing customer invoices and recharges.
  • Processing and approving supplier invoices.
  • Supplier statement reconciliations and resolving supplier queries.
  • Recording payments and maintaining accurate banking records.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
  • Processing payroll.
  • Supporting weekly payroll across relevant entities.
  • Credit control, including following up on outstanding debtor balances.
  • Managing intercompany recharges.
  • Preparing month-end journals and supporting management reporting.
  • Setting up new suppliers and customers.
  • General office and finance administration.
  • Supporting utilities set-up and related administration.
  • Supporting the Operations Manager and Property Manager with day-to-day requirements.
  • Identifying and supporting process improvements across finance and operations.

Candidate Profile

  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping, accounting or a similar finance role.
  • Hold a relevant accounting qualification.
  • Be confident working across invoicing, reconciliations, VAT, payroll and month-end support.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Show sound judgement and the confidence to question information when needed.
  • Work well independently while contributing positively to the wider team.
  • Take a proactive, improvement-focused approach.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, suppliers and customers.
